Amy Winehouse [ tickets ] returned to the stage last weekend in England, quelling reports that she was deathly ill when recently hospitalized.Winehouse, who performed June 27 at a tribute to Nelson Mandela and June 28 at the Glastonbury Festival, was said to be in fine form at both shows and also in good voice.However, the weekend was not without incident; at Glastonbury, Winehouse appeared to punch a fan during her performance. No complaints have been filed and a spokesperson for the festival said there would be no investigation as Winehouse seemingly lashed out after a fan tried to grab her hair, according to BBC News.Footage of the incident did not clearly show what provoked the performer to lunge toward the fan.At Friday's tribute concert to Mandela, held at London's Hyde Park, Winehouse received the biggest cheers of the night, though she seemed nervous when she first took the stage, according to Reuters.At the close of the concert, she was joined on stage by Jerry Dammers, who helped organized the 1988 concert which called for Mandela's freedom when he was behind bars for his stand against apartheid. Accompanied by many of the evening's performers, they sang Dammers' "Free Nelson Mandela," which became an anthem for the anti-apartheid movement in Britain in the 1980s.The event, a celebration of Mandela's 90th birthday, was organized to support the statesman's HIV/AIDS charity, 46664, which was named after his prison number.
